Welcome to the first episode of the Care for the Healer Podcast! Thank you for being here and taking the time to care for yourself.
This series strives to create conversation related to veterinary medicine & wellbeing. Bringing in guests with a variety of perspectives, we hope to introduce new methods, skills & theory that will help practitioners with their own journey towards personal wellbeing.
Dr. Robertson is an internationally recognized specialist in shelter medicine who has spent the past fifteen years focused on the creation of efficient processes, improving organizational structure, the utilization of statistics to influence policy choices and issues impacting access to veterinary care.
Prior to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, Jyothi studied anthropology and education, examining cultural and race dynamics while performing fieldwork in Asia. This work has influenced her approach to conversations in animal welfare as she consults with organizations. It also led to her designing her life to allow for international travel while custom-schooling and creating curricula for her three children and other youth.
Her passion project for the past two years has been the development of The Journey You Own, a platform for weaving spirituality and awareness through highlighting social injustice, animal welfare, the climate crisis, and education reform.
Dr. Robertson has just launched a free online module through Maddie’s University: Practices for Wellbeing and Productivity. We highly encourage you to enroll in this incredible educational offering to continue your journey towards personal wellbeing!
Thank you for listening!
