Bethanie Poe
Dr. Bethanie A. Poe, LMSW is the Veterinary Social Work Certificate Programs Coordinator at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT). She began her journey in veterinary social work at UT as a student intern and returned as a Veterinary Social Work fellow in her PhD program, where she helped to develop the Veterinary Social Work Certificate Program for concurrent and post-graduate students.
She has over a decade of experience in the field of interpersonal violence including working in domestic violence shelter, child protection, and with batterersā intervention programs, as well as in mental health education.Ā ā
Krista Martin
Krista Martin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences from East Texas Baptist University and her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.Ā During these years, she developed a love for program development and an unfortunate addiction to Tex-Mex.Ā Krista is currently enrolled in the Post Graduate Veterinary Social Work Certificate Program through the University of Tennessee Knoxville and is an active member of the International Association of Veterinary Social Work.
Krista has 20 years of practice experience in both micro and macro environments.Ā She currently operates M3 Counseling LLC, a private social work practice specializing in veterinary social work.Ā Krista also serves as the Program Coordinator with Veterinary Hope Foundation and partners with Upstate Vet as their Clinical Support Specialist.Ā ā
Michelle Castle
Michelle Castle, CVT, MDiv, BCC has almost 30 years in medicine including her military experience, veterinary nursing, and as a Board-Certified Chaplain. Michelle is trained to provide emotional and spiritual support, advocacy and resources that are compassionate, empathetic, and empowering. Michelleās passion is for facilitating resiliency and well-being in others, through education, practical skills and the support needed to enact change.Ā
Michelle is the Student Services Specialist at Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology, Founding President of Pillars of Spiritual Ministry, and Holistic Resiliency & Well-Being Support Specialist for Care for the Healer. Michelle is trained in CISM, Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, AVMA Workplace Well-Being Certificate, and Disaster Spiritual Care Provider.Ā
Casara Andre
āDr. Casara AndreĀ is a Healer consistently motivated by her desire to help mammals of all species (human and veterinary) repair and sustain their health and wellbeing.Ā
Ā A veterinarian by education and training, Dr. Andreās day-to-day mission is creating a safe-haven and incubator-for-ideas opportunities within medical communities.Ā By leveraging the power of cooperation, following the path of unashamed curiosity, and encouraging creative solutions, she works to support entrepreneurship among Healers that have a vision for positive change in the world.
Dr. Andre is a practicing veterinarian in Colorado within the United States, a U.S. military veteran, and the Founding President of Care for the Healer.
